18th Annual Adopt-a-Book Event

April 24-April 28, 2012

The Smiths Falls Public Library is holding its 18th Annual Adopt-a-Book Event from April 24 to April 28 during regular library hours. A wide selection of books for both adults and children will be on display in the library. In 2011, local residents donated $2200 during Adopt-a-Book. Since this event started 18 years ago, nearly $36,000 worth of materials has been donated to the Library. The donated books can be dedicated to a special person, to celebrate an event such as a birth or birthday, a special teacher or in memory of a loved one. A book plate will be placed inside each donated book.
