Library Hoopla – June 2021
This month’s theme for the Outdoor Club is “Take a Hike!” It’s time to hit the trails! Did you know you can now borrow day passes to any Ontario Parks from the library? We also have MAP Sacks to help your little ones explore the trails. This month, learn what to take hiking, complete our trail scavenger hunt and learn how to make a paracord bracelet!
This month’s Take & Make Kits include:
Paracord Survival Bracelet (age 12+): Useful and fashionable! Learn to make a paracord bracelet to take on a hike or camping.
Grab and Go Kits: Biweekly kits for the little ones from EarlyON. Explore the senses with this week’s kit!
TD Summer Reading Club
Miss Debra is excitedly preparing for this year’s summer activities! Watch our Facebook Page and website for updates regarding the TD Summer Reading Club and our One-on-One Literacy Tutoring program.
Teen Summer Reading Program (ages 12-18 from June 28th – September 4th)
Book Boxes: Brand new this year is the Book Box program! Starting June 28th, there will be a different themed Book Box every 2 weeks. Teens must register in advance as boxes are limited!
“Rewards for Reading”
It’s back! Read anything you want and get prizes for reading!
Teen Writing Contest
Have a teen that loves to write? This year the theme is “Strange Creatures.”
