Drop-in program for children in Grades 1 & up.
 
Thursdays aren’t just for teens anymore! Children in Grades 1 & up can join us every Thursday from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. for an After School Drop-in Program. Kids will be able to hang out, play games or work on homework in a fun and safe environment.

Baby & Me Time is a wonderful way for you to bond with your little one through rhymes, stories and play time. It’s also a great way to meet other new parents!

The Smiths Falls Public Library currently offers two book clubs for adults:

The Tuesday Morning Book Club meets the first Tuesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. 

The Books and Brews Club meets the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Drop by the library for board games and hot beverages! We have a great selection of games to choose from and each week will feature a different roast of coffee generously donated by Mighty Valley Coffee.

Spend more time outside this year by joining the Smiths Falls Public Library “Get Outdoors Club!” Each month will have a different theme with a list of challenges and ideas to help you get outside more. This year we’ve introduced a badge system to help encourage you to complete the challenges each month. Collect all four badges to be entered into a draw for a prize!

Stories & More encourages a love of reading through stories, rhymes, songs and activities. A simple craft related to the theme may also be offered as a take home activity.

Registered program for teens ages 13-18.

The Smiths Falls Public Library is looking for driven, creative, passionate and all-around awesome teens to join the Teen Advisory Board! (T.A.B.)

The Teen Advisory Board will meet once a month to discuss teen programs, provide book suggestions and reviews and will assist in the redesign of the teen section of the library. Members may also have opportunities to help with event planning and facilitation outside of the monthly meetings. Teens can earn volunteer hours for attending meetings and activities.

Teens can join us Thursday nights from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. for a different activity every week, from arts & crafts to games, trivia and more! Teens are also welcome to choose from our collection of board and card games or borrow one of our tablets and play games with friends if they are not interested in the activity.
